Fundraising

The Colleen O’Leary Fundraising evening is approaching fast, and preparations are under way to make it a very enjoyable event.
From 4pm – 6pm we have Colm Cronin to entertain you with music and dancing. A bouncy castle is planned for the children.
There will be teas and coffees available with cakes etc, and the bar will be open also.
(we’re even going to fire up the barbecue!)
If you would like to donate a cake or something similar for the event, it would be happily accepted and greatly appreciated.
There is a disco in the hall later on in the evening also, hope you can make it.
This event is being held for a very good cause and we hope you’ll all support it accordingly, so make a date in your social calendar!
All profits to go to the Colleen O’Leary Fund

Rent a hall

As recently shown, with the success of the GAA fundraiser, the Allihies community hall is a great venue with the capability and the capacity to hold up to very large functions. We have local caterers on hand and a licensed bar. We are more than welcome to hear your requirements for your special occasion, so let us know if we can help you.
We are still always waiting to hear about any ideas you may have about courses or activities that you would like to start here at the hall. We had hundreds of suggestions from you before we undertook the renovations and we’d love to see many of them into fruition. Come on…….let’s get moving!!

If anybody would like to use the hall for a private function feel free to contact us for a quote.

The opening on St. Patricks day

What a wonderful show of people last night at the official opening of the Community hall. Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed the evening. Videos Below…

Sunday 17th March sees the Official Opening of the Allihies Community Hall starting at 7:00pm. Entertainment includes Irish Dancing, Live Music and Face Painting for the children. An important date for your diary.

Please make a big note on your social calendar for this one folks……..The Community Hall will be holding a very important fundraising event on Sunday 2nd June. All proceeds will be forwarded to the family of Colleen O’Leary, whom we sadly and suddenly lost recently. Watch this space for more details of the event as we get them.
